FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions about booking, flow, music, and equipment.

It's best to book me as early as possible and makes sense for you, for example, after your venue has confirmed the date. This checks another item off your list, and you won't have to plan anything music-related anymore. And remember: weddings usually take place from April to September, so dates can get tight the later you book.
I would be very happy to offer you a preliminary chat to get to know each other! It can take place either in person at my office or via video call. Besides getting to know each other personally, we can also discuss your wishes and details of the celebration.
For a wedding, a subtle amount of hosting is part of the job for me. I gladly announce the opening dance, the wedding cake, or the bouquet toss. I can also announce or host games, although I feel it's more personal if the witnesses do this themselves since they made the effort to organize them. We clearly discuss in advance how much hosting is optimal for you, because after all, I'm used to a microphone and have no reservations about using it.
Of course! With my many years of experience as a wedding DJ, I can certainly give you many recommendations. However, I think it's most beautiful for you if you actually have a connection to your dance.
I discuss my starting time with you individually. The entire equipment, however, is always set up before the party and the guests arrive. I or my technician will coordinate this with the venue in advance.
I am at your service for as long as you need me. In the preliminary meeting, we will work together to determine the optimal duration of my use on the evening.
As a DJ, I constantly observe the guests. While switching through the respective music genres and decades, I notice from the guests' reactions which music goes down well. Especially after the wedding dance, for example, it is important that every song is well thought out so that the guests stay on the dance floor and an exuberant party ensues.
As a true all-rounder, I play almost every music genre. Especially at weddings, I always affectionately call it 'the grand harbor tour' or 'party hit classics'. I understand these terms to mean the broad spectrum from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, right up to current music. The music genres Pop, HipHop, House, EDM, Rock or even Schlager are a matter of course for me. In recent years, I have also played at weddings for bridal couples from a wide variety of nations. For example, the song 'Jestes Szalona' is a must at Polish/German weddings. We can, of course, also discuss special music requests in our preliminary meeting. Thanks to my many years of experience as a DJ in discotheques or at large and small events, I can adapt quickly to appropriate circumstances.
Absolutely! This is an essential part of the preliminary meeting. Here we discuss your 'Go' and 'No Go' tracks or genres for your celebration.
Of course, I also play music requests from you and your guests; this is even very important to me.
This is the most frequently asked question in a preliminary meeting. Don't worry, in this case I am well networked and can fall back on a dense network of professional DJ colleagues. I will not leave you alone on this important day!
I am active for you wherever you need me as a DJ. Traveling throughout Germany or internationally is normal for me.
In 2006, I completed the so-called DJ license. The DJ license is a certificate of competence introduced by the Federal Association of German Discotheques and Dance Venues. The introduction took place in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the Professional Association of Disc Jockeys and the Techniker Krankenkasse health insurance fund. This nationwide valid ID card has been issued to disc jockeys since December 2005. The DJ license is acquired in special seminars in which information is provided on the health hazards of loud music, but also acoustic-technical aspects and liability issues. The conclusion of such a seminar is a written test. By the beginning of 2010, almost 2,500 DJs had completed the DJ license and more and more discotheque operators are switching to only employing DJs with appropriate proof.
First of all, you should be aware of 'how' important the music is to you. Because you won't find a DJ by looking for the cheapest one. With cars, everyone understands why a car is worth more or not and that you don't buy a Porsche Carrera if you want to go on vacation with children. You have to find a DJ that suits you! A professional who is broadly positioned and doesn't just want to quickly earn a few extra euros on the side during the wedding season every year, for example. It is important to hire someone as a DJ who is in training all year round. Because this DJ is also musically up to date. However, the most important thing is reliability. Because even the most expensive DJ is worthless if he cancels at the last minute or does not come because he can earn more money elsewhere. Especially at an important event like a wedding, you only have this one chance. If the DJ doesn't fit or doesn't even show up, all the guests will talk about it the whole evening. The best food and most beautiful location won't help. You can have the DJ explain his added value to you in conversation. Why should you book him and no one else? Why is his value so low or high compared to other DJs. It is best to weigh up this information for yourself and let your gut feeling decide.
